Pedro Lima, President of Tres Coracoes Group in Brazil, wins the Prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award by Ernst & Young.
13-Apr-2015 Congratulations to Pedro Lima, entrepreneur and president of Tres Coracoes – Strauss Group’s partner in the coffee company in Brazil- for being named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the consulting firm Ernst & Young in Brazil.
Pedro represented Brazil in the Global Entrepreneur of the Year competition in Monte Carlo, Monaco, in the beginning of June 2016. He competed for the Global Entrepreneur of the Year Award with 50 other successful entrepreneurs from around the world.
A son of a family from a modest background, Pedro studied agronomy with the help of his father, a small green coffee trader. After graduating he put his profession aside in order to help his family establish Santa Clara, one of the leading coffee companies in Brazil today.
In 2005, together with his brother, Lima undertook a joint venture with Strauss Group, after the latter acquired its competitor, Tres Coracoes. Since “Tres Coracoes” (3 Hearts) was the most commonly known and popular name in the Brazilian marketplace, it was decided to keep it as the main brand name of the new Group.
Today, Lima heads a 2 billion BRL corporation, dominating the Brazilian coffee market with over 20% market share.
During the Award Ceremony, Pedro noted that his career was inspired by his fellow countrymen:
“I share my award with entrepreneurs everywhere. I have never imagined I would get to where I am today. I thank my consumers for their strong bond and loyalty to my brand.”
Winning the “Entrepreneur of the Year” title is just another milestone in the wonderful journey of the Lima family and Tres Coracoes over the years. Through entrepreneurship, hard work and true passion for coffee, for the company and its people, the Lima brothers steered the company toward impressive achievements by any standard.
